Top educational products honored

The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), the national, nonprofit organization for educational publishers and service providers in the United States, recently announced the winners of the 2008 AEP Awards, recognizing the year's most outstanding materials in the field of teaching and learning. AEP's Golden Lamp Awards, which are sponsored by Words & Numbers, are the industry's equivalent of Best Picture. This year's winners are as follows:

Books: Science Rocks! (ABDO Publishing Company)
Instructional Materials: Hot Topics Classroom Kit (Evan-Moor Educational Publishers)
Periodicals: National Geographic Little Kids (National Geographic Society)
Technology: ThinkQuest (Oracle Education Foundation)

AEP also announced a number of Distinguished Achievement Awards recognizing the best educational resources within the categories of Curriculum, Periodicals, and Professional Development. For a complete list of all AEP award winners, visit the AEP website.
