Thousands of British schoolchildren have made it their mission to break through Internet filters in schools meant to stop them surfing 'social network' websites such as Bebo, MySpace and Facebook, according to The Observer. Head teachers are increasingly banning access to the web pages, amid fears they are being targeted by bullies and pedophiles. Independent schools are spending thousands of pounds to tackle infiltrators, but the ways tech-savvy children try to bypass the system are numerous, according to a director of a girls boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire.
