Son of No Child Left Behind

NCLB Icon  In a recent editorial, the Los Angeles Times writes that while the basic tenets of No Child Left Behind “should remain intact, and even be strengthened, the law needs an overhaul to deserve reauthorization this year.” The newspaper supports changes requiring yearly improvement for every student, an increased emphasis on effective teachers, and better testing.
