Ministers and viceministers of education from 41 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean will meet in Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 29-30 to take stock of the progress of the Regional Education Project for Latin America and the Caribbean coordinated by UNESCO. The meeting will focus primarily on how the region can deliver quality education, as a public good and a fundamental human right, by 2017, the deadline set during the first education project meeting in 2002 in Havana, Cuba.
