About 40 tutors who will implement adult literacy programs in the Musanze District of Rwanda signed contracts after a onemonth training program. The contracts bind the tutors to educate at least 3,500 adult learners on literacy and basic rights awareness. Presiding over the contractsigning ceremony at the district hall, Rachael Muyoboke, district coordinator of ProfemmesTwese hamwe, a womens rights organization, called for integration of the adult literacy program into poverty reduction strategies.
