Harry Potter ban nixed

A mother who fought to ban the best-selling Harry Potter books from her children's suburban Atlanta school district on the grounds that they promote witchcraft is considering an appeal after the Georgia Board of Education voted Thursday to keep the books on the county's library shelves, according to an Associated Press report. The board members voted without discussion to uphold the Gwinnett County school board's decision to deny the request to remove the books from school libraries.
