Verizon schedules literacy summit

The Verizon Foundation's second annual National Literacy Summit on October 30 will bring together literacy providers, corporate sponsors, government representatives, and academic institutions to discuss "What Works: Literacy Across the Lifespan." The live webcast, which takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time and includes presentations by IRA President Timothy Shanahan, IRA Past President Dorothy Strickland, and others, is open to all. For registration information, visit the following webpage. Verizon asks that interested persons register by October 26.
