Osaka high schools to adopt teacher-trading system

Enterprising principals in Japan’s Osaka prefectural high schools will soon be able to act like baseball managers preparing for a pennant race — trading for teachers to fill weak spots in their lineups. Beginning with the 2007 school year, administrators will be able to use a database to “scout” for teachers with the skills needed at their schools, and arrange trades with other principals.
