Study: States lowering standards in face of NCLB pressure

NCLB Icon A new study shows a widening gap between National Assessment of Educational Progress figures and states' own assessments of students' proficiency levels, suggesting that the states are lowering standards because of testing pressures created by the No Child Left Behind Act.
