Kenya launches national literacy survey

Concern that the nation’s adult illiteracy rate may be far worse than reported has led the Kenyan government to launch a national literacy survey. The exercise, to be conducted in all districts throughout the country, will establish the actual number of people who know how to read, write, and count. Learn more in The Nation (Kenya).
