Britain pledges billions in school aid for developing nations

In an effort to fulfill a pledge made at last year’s G-8 summit, Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown has announced a 10-year, $15 billion program to end the “scandal” of the 100 million children worldwide who are denied the chance to go to school. Find this story in The Independent.
