New program honors preschool teachers

Publications International, Ltd., a publisher of children's products that combine traditional printed books with electronic features, has announced a new Preschool Teacher of the Year Award program. Nominations are being accepted through June 30 for outstanding teachers are instructing 3- to 6-year-old children in prekindergarten settings. Fifty state winners will be announced in September 2006. Each will receive a 50-title library of Publications International titles. Four national winners will be named Story Reader Preschool Teacher of the Year. Each of these four winners will receive a cash award of $1,500, and a matchng $1,500 donation will be made to their respective schools.
