US federal grant opportunity: Improving literacy through school libraries

The Improving Literacy Through School Libraries (LSL) Program seeks to improve reading skills by providing students with up-to-date school library materials, well-equipped school libraries and media centers, and certified school library and media specialists. Grant applications are due April 11th. Informational conference calls will be held on Thursday, March 2, Friday, March 3, and Monday, March 6, 2006.
