Department of Education paid commentator to promote NCLB

NCLB Icon The U.S. Department of Education paid a syndicated commentator $240,000 to promote the No Child Left Behind act, according to a USA Today story. Democrats, media ethics experts, and watchdog groups have decried the arrangement, which the commentator himself now says was "bad judgment" on his part.
